Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken

A delicious and easy-to-make dish that brings a perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors, ideal for busy weeknights or family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the Crockpot.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and minced ginger until well combined.
  3. Pour the honey garlic mixture over the chicken in the Crockpot, ensuring they are well coated.
  4. Add salt and pepper to taste, adjusting according to your preference.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours. The chicken should be fork-tender and easy to shred.
  6. Once cooked, shred the chicken directly in the sauce using two forks and stir until evenly coated.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve over rice or noodles for a complete meal.

Notes

For deeper flavor, let the chicken marinate in the sauce for at least an hour before placing in the slow cooker. Ensure there’s enough sauce to coat the chicken thoroughly.
