Healthy Burger Bowls with Special Sauce

Enjoy classic burger flavors in a nutritious bowl, perfect for quick weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef (or turkey for a leaner option)
  • 1 large head of romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup pickles, diced
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup potato chips (for crunch)
  • 1 cup cheese (optional; cheddar or American work well)
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • Optional spices: garlic powder, onion powder, or paprika for added flavor

Instructions

  1. Cook the Ground Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until it’s no longer pink, breaking it apart with a spatula. Season with your favorite spices (salt and pepper work well) to taste.
  2. Prepare the Lettuce Base: In a large bowl, layer the chopped romaine lettuce as the base.
  3. Add the Beef: Once the ground beef is cooked, add it on top of the lettuce evenly.
  4. Layer with Crunch: Sprinkle crispy potato chips over the cooked beef.
  5. Add Fresh Toppings: Top with chopped cherry tomatoes, diced pickles, sliced onions, and cheese if you’re using it.
  6. Make the Special Sauce: In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and any spices you opt for.
  7. Drizzle and Serve: Drizzle the special sauce over the assembled bowl. Serve immediately for the freshest taste.

Notes

Customize your bowl with different proteins or toppings. Serve with sides like sweet potato fries or fruit salad.
