Ingredients

  • 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1 Tbsp cumin

  2. Season generously: Sprinkle chili powder, cumin, garlic salt, salt, and pepper over the chicken.
  3. Add fresh flavors: Pour the lime juice and chopped cilantro over the seasoned chicken.
  4. Pour in the sauce: Add the tomato sauce evenly over everything in the crockpot.
  5. Cook to perfection: Cover and cook on low for 6–8 hours or on high for 3–4 hours until tender.
  6. Shred and serve: Using two forks, shred the chicken in the crockpot and mix into the sauce.

Notes

For a spicy kick, consider adding diced jalapeños, or adjust the chili powder for milder tastes.
