Caramel Apple Pie Bombs

Delightful treats combining warm spiced apples and gooey caramel wrapped in flaky biscuit dough, perfect for gatherings or cozy family evenings.

Ingredients

  • 2 apples, finely chopped
  • 8 caramel candies
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 (16.3-oz) can refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • Cinnamon sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a medium baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Sauté the apples in a medium skillet with 1 tablespoon of butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until tender (about 5 minutes).
  3. Prepare the biscuit dough by stretching each biscuit slightly.
  4. Add 1 tablespoon of the apple mixture and one caramel candy to the center of each dough circle.
  5. Shape the bombs by pinching the edges of the dough to seal and rolling into ball shapes.
  6. Arrange the filled dough balls in the greased baking dish, allowing space between them.
  7. Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar if desired.
  8. Bake for about 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
  9. Serve warm for the best experience.

Notes

Choose sweet apples for best flavor and ensure they are sealed well to prevent leaking during baking.
